Splash Page Results

I recently told you about two splash pages I created to advertise my blog. Well I’ve sent some traffic, and received some results. Quite interesting:

Splash Page 1:  2,376 Views, 36 Signups, 1.51% Ratio
Splash Page 2:  2,263 Views, 38 Signups, 1.67% Ratio

While splash page 2 did receive more signups, it’s interesting that it’s not a whole lot more. If you weren’t here then, it was suggested to me on splash page 1 that I might want to add more text about traffic exchanges since I was advertising in traffic exchanges.

It did work, but not an insane amount. So did people join because of my branding, and ignore the ad text? I’m not sure. That would be a good test some time, advertising my blog with and without mention of my name!

    Hi Tim

    I have a problem with Branding.

    If I advertise a certain program, and it goes pear shaped and everyone loses money, no one will trust me again, thus possibly losing potential Sales/Sign-ups.

    But If I remain anon then alls well

    What do you think ?

    I joined because of the branding. I love StartXchange and all the features that you have added. I also like the fact that you are the programmer. :)
