Remember to Opt-In

With spam being so high, and people forgetting they subscribe to something it is crucial to remember to double opt in your lists. Not only do you need someone to willing subscribe, you need to send a confirmation email to them and record their IP address and time of confirming.

You can never be too carefull. ISPs and even some registrars are quick to pull the plug if they even hear of you possibly spamming. Having the proof they subscribed clears you of this.
