RE: I am not a victim!

In my previous post, “I am not a victim!” I was mearly meaning to make a banner to grab some attention. Unknowingly it caused many people to get upset over it because the banners I was referencing in my banner were for a site about people helping each other to learn how not to become vicitims of scams.

I received a PM about it shortly after displaying the banner making me aware of this and I have stopped displaying the banner. I have not removed it from my blog or removed the original post for two reasons:

The first reason - I don’t like cover ups. Yeah, so I made a mistake. I’m not about to hide it from you and pretend I’m the best guy in the world. The second reason is it might help someone else not make the same mistake as me.

I think the moral of the story is to come up with clever phrases that get attention, but if it references something make sure you think it through! It might even be a good idea to show it to a few people and see what they think.

Anyways I’ve apologized in that thread, in a PM and in a forum. I am now going to move on from it and hope that anyone offended accepts my apology. Thank you for understanding!
