How to be a Success

I was just over at a forum, and found a post “Measuring successful internet marketers?“. It started to get me to think, am I a successful internet marketer? Have I set any goals?
A search on Google for “how to be a success” returns 561,000,000 pages. 561 MILLION pages. Wow, thats gotta be quite the topic for it to have that many pages. Well I titled this page just that, so I’ll increase the count.
So how do you be a successful internet marketer? Well just like it was suggested in the forum, you need to have some goals. Because without goals to fulfill, you won’t have any success.
What kind of goals should an internet marketer have? Well that all depends on your lifestyle, and what you desire in it. If you just want to get some extra income online, then your goal would simply be getting say an extra $500 a month.
However, if you want fame, you’re goal would be more along the lines of having a name recognized by thousands or even millions of people. That would be quite the goal, and would take quite alot of branding and time!
Now take the time to write down exactly what you want on a piece of paper. As for me, my goal is to work only 3-4 hours per day, but be making the same amount as if I were working a “normal job” over time.
This is because I would like to help more with my Church and ministries, and so I could work 9am - 2pm, and then the rest of the afternoon help out. But most of the things that need help also need funds. So thats where the “overtime” comes in. I don’t want to be able to just volunteer some time, only to find out the resources for the particular ministry aren’t available. I want to already have the resources.
Look at your goal that you just wrote on a piece of paper. Do you have a goal that is obtainable? Do you REALLY think you can do it? If your answer isn’t YES!! then please go back a few paragraphs and try again. If you don’t think you can accomplish that goal, you won’t have the motivation to fulfill it!
Whether or not you beleive in God, I really think your goal should be backed by an unselfish desire. If you want to be known around the world, why not make it known around the world because of how you’ve helped so many people in an area of interest? I personally don’t like goals that are just about money, because once you have that money the feeling of success lasts only so long. But if you know you’ve touched the lives of others FOREVER, it’s a whole nother story.
As for me, I am a success. My first goal was to work online as my sole job. I obtained that goal, and am progressing towards that bigger goal. Are you accomplishing your goals? Are you a success?

“You become successful the moment you start moving towards a worthwhile goal” and remain successful as long as you are moving towards that goal, ergo “The difference between a successful person and other is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will” It is indeed all about setting those obtainable and worthwhile goals and sticking to them.

You hit an important note.
You finished one goal, and then started another.
It is easy and sad to reach a goal and then just sit, you need to keep moving.
Nice post among millions.
