Commission is a Must!

One of my biggest mistakes online was not having commissions right from the start! I could have so much more money if I just did it.

The problem all too often is our thought process. We think we’ll lose money because we are giving it away. However, when you give it away many people will promote your site for you AND more people will pay up because they know its not just an expense, its also income!

I recently did this with my website StartXchange. It is a traffic exchange and after about 4 years I finally decided to do commissions. I even created a new upgrade called Exec that was $10 a month instead of the $5 Pro option.

Well much to my surprise, almost instantly the upgrade levels went up! Would you imagine that, I’m actually making MORE by giving money AWAY!?

I must admit, I also didn’t like the idea of carrying around a balance for everyone who didn’t cash out yet. However, I have yet to have someone cash out, and because I’m making more payments (all at different days) even if I withrdew all my funds, I could still pay out within a couple of days.

Something else to consider.. I now have members who are making commission yes, but I also now have members who are paying me when they weren’t before – and their upline isn’t upgraded. That means I’ve got new $10/month payments where no cut is taken out!

I can’t beleive it took this long to really sink into my thick skull. Well thank you to the members that kept requesting it! Man I love having so many members always giving me ideas (I consider complaints ideas in a negative tone =P)
