Advertising in Traffic Exchanges

For those of you who don’t know, Traffic Exchanges are sites that reward you for viewing member websites by showing yours.
If you have no experience advertising in Traffic Exchanges, you could find yourself wasting alot of time and money. But fear not, as I will teach you how to effectively advertise on these unique sites.
Think Television
First, you must think of Traffic Exchanges as advertisements on TV. You only see them for so long, and you can’t expect every person to respond right away. You also can’t guarantee that the person is looking over your site carefully, just like someone can walk away during the commercial break.
That being said, remember that television advertising is HUGE. And just like on TV, you can get good results if you create an advertisement specifically for it.
Make it Quick
You generally only have 20 or 30 seconds to send out your message. And unlike televisions, the ad has to LOAD before they can view it. If your site doesn’t load QUICK, you could be losing valuable time.
You should cut out any kind of scripts, movies, etc, from your page you are advertising. If you MUST have a movie, make it stream as it plays, and don’t make it start automatically.
Brand Yourself
I talk more about this in another post. With Traffic Exchanges, branding is key! How many times have you seen a product on TV before buying it in the store?
So there are a few things to think about. Create a new page to advertise on traffic exchanges that works more like a TV ad than a website. Make it load quick, grab their attention, brand yourself and your product, and of course include a link to your main website (make sure it opens in a new window!!)
